They're not there to shop. - They're not there to work. - They're just there.

Where to begin?!?!  Mallrats is quite possibly the funniest movie in the world, unfortunately due to some asshole critics it was never recognized as such until its video and DVD releases.  The events of this flick were the day before (Friday) the events of Clerks (Saturday) It was in making this movie that Kevin Smith made two of his closest friends who he continues to make movies with today, Ben Affleck and Jason Lee.  These stars though virtually unknown at the time have now risen to the top of Hollywood.

This is the outrageous story of two loafers, T.S. and Brodie, who spend way too much time hanging out at the mall.  When Brodie is dumped by his girlfriend, Shannen Doherty, he retreats to the mall will his best friend T.S., whose girlfriend has also left him.  Between brooding and visits to the food court, the unmotivated twosome decide to win their girlfriends back with the help of the ultimate delinquents, Jay and Silent Bob!

Mallrats Inaction Figures!
Alright, Alright, before you piss your pants out of excitement, it is with sadness that I tell you that these are not yet available for purchase but will be in the near future.  So askewers hold back your tears and remember whoever said patience is a virtue should be shot.

As with most great things there is a catch, Kevin loves all of the characters so much he can't decide which four should be put into the first set and which three, along with a mystery fourth, will be waitlisted for the second wave.  So Kevin decided (being the trenchcoat wearing badass that he is) to have the fans vote for it.  SO CLICK THE LINK BELOW AND VOTE MAN!

Connection!

jayandbobwmonkey.jpg

This scene above is shown at the end of the movie as Jay and Silent Bob exit and the screen reads that what happens to them is another story.  There walking down a road with an orangatang is a total connection with Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, where their stealing of a monkey named Susanne is a main part of the movie!

Music

The song played in the scene above is Suzanne by Weezer, from the Mallrats sound track and heard in the film as Jay and Silent Bob walk off into the distance holding hands with an orangutang.  The soundtrack can be purchased at the link below......

To hear Suzanne, click the play button underneath this text.

Sound
The Track playing in the backround as you open this page, is actually quoting Jay from Mallrats just after he hit LaFours with a baseball bat to free Brodie and T.S. from his evil clutches.
